Atlanta’s first cocktail festival takes center stage…
In a city where beer festivals are weekly and almost every street has their own, I often wondered when it would be time for an event solely focused on cocktails. It’s an easy sell. A Prohibition-era themed cocktail festival in the vein of Tales of the Cocktail and the Manhattan Cocktail Classic is the stuff dreams are made of for a cocktailphile like myself. And not just focusing on cocktails. A full on weekend marathon to include a pool and poker tournament, classic car show, cigar lounge, burlesque show, and culminating in a swanky gala. The Speakeasy Cocktail Festival has been a long time coming and is finally stepping into the spotlight this Labor Day weekend.
