The Breakup Guide: Poncey-Highland Edition

Breaking up is hard to do…

Everyone has been through the pain of a breakup, and we all cope in different ways. I like to cut back on drinking, get plenty of sleep and eat healthy. (And if you believe that, then you don’t know me at all.) Many things can ease a broken heart, but surely we can all agree that booze and sugar help. And personally, when I’m down in the dumps, the last thing I want to do is get behind the wheel. As such, below are my favorite spots in the Poncey-Highland area for healing a broken heart. And by healing, I mean overindulging in food and alcohol.

Opening Night: Atlanta Food & Wine Festival

Atlanta food scene meets world…

Food & Wine festivals happen all over the country, so it was only a matter of time before the happening metropolis of Atlanta played host to the mother of them all, and demonstrate all that Southern cooking has to offer. From low country boils in Charleston and Texas grilling to the finer art of shrimp & grits, the festival will be an opportunity for the region to shout from the main stage that the South may just know a thing or two about gastronomy after all.

A food adventure OTP… the first installment

Alright, it’s true. I’ll admit it to the world. I am an ITP snob. I live ITP, I eat ITP, I play ITP. But, I work OTP. Which means *gulp* I sometimes have to venture outside of work, with the iPhone GPS at the ready, to find lunch-worthy food. I didn’t believe it could be possible, I am OTP of course. But much to my chagrin, I owe OTP a huge apology. Turns out, you guys know what’s up.
